About Jonathan Cooper

Based in London’s fashionable Chelsea, Jonathan Cooper deals in 20th century and contemporary art, specialising in representational, botanical and wildlife art, as well as in contemporary sculpture. Since its opening in 1988 Jonathan’s gallery, the Park Walk Gallery, has established a reputation for championing contemporary artists who are leaders in their fields.

The gallery’s range of artists is extensive and includes works by artists such as James Gillick, Isabel Bannerman and Harriet Bane. In 2012, to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, BT commissioned 85 artists to decorate replicas of their famous public telephone boxes, and Rebecca Campbell, of the artists of the Park Walk Gallery, has been chosen. Her box will be on display in Covent Garden. Another of the Park Gallery’s artists, Vicky White, has been shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Illustration Award 2012, for her illustrations in the book ‘Can We Save the Tiger?’ by Martin Jenkins. The Park Walk Gallery, through its focus on botanical and wildlife art, continues to support a number of charities which promote conversation.

Jonathan Cooper regularly exhibits at art and antiques fairs in the United Kingdom and abroad in the United States of America, Canada and Hong Kong. Jonathan is Chairman of the Contemporary Works of Art Vetting Committee for the BADA Fair and a member of its Fair committee.

Elected to BADA membership for Contemporary paintings, specialising in sporting, wildlife, botanical and figurative art; contemporary sculpture.
