About Mark Goodger of Hampton Antiques

Born out of collaboration between partners Mark and Sara Goodger, Hampton Antiques started life in 1998. Their first sale was transacted on a cold, dark Saturday morning in November 1998, from a tiny stall on London’s Portobello Road, providing many happy memories and interesting stories. They no longer trade from Portobello, but now concentrate on selling via their website and at the UK’s major antiques fairs.

Hampton Antique’s distinctive stock is fine antique boxes and accessories. This can range between historical objects associated with food and drink, such as tea caddies, decanter boxes, knife boxes and cutlery boxes to boxes used to store objects used for correspondence, such as lap desks, desk-top items and writing boxes. Pastimes for ladies are represented by elegant sewing and work boxes, jewellery boxes and dressing cases. Among their stock can also be found humidors, cigar boxes and vanity boxes, to name a few - all from a range of periods and made from a variety of materials.

They also offer a restoration and valuation services.

Elected to BADA membership for Antique boxes and accessories.
