About S & S Timms Antiques Ltd

S & S Timms has been established for over 35 years, and Robbie Timms is a fourth generation dealer, following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather and great grandfather, the latter being a founder member of the British Antique Dealers’ Association early in the 20th century.

The present business, S & S Timms Antiques was actually formed by Sue and Steve Timms in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, in the late 1970s. For many years their shop was a regular call for other dealers and interior designers, looking to source quality goods. As the antiques trade evolved over the years, naturally their business also had to change and develop into the business it is today.

Robbie, Sue and Steve’s son, joined the business aged just 16 in 1998, and sadly in 2007 Sue passed away at a relatively young age. However, despite their loss, Robbie and Steve have continued to drive the business forward, becoming a well-known name on the antique fair circuit.

Currently S & S Timms offer a carefully chosen selection of high quality English town and country furniture for the home from their extensive website, at many fairs and by appointment only at their trade warehouse in Bedfordshire.

Elected to BADA membership for 17th-, 18th- and 19th-century town and country furniture.
