Young Friends of BADA

A great way to improve your knowledge of the visual arts and your social circle!

The Young Friends was set up in 1998 to encourage younger people with a passion for antiques and art to join the Trust. With visits to galleries and museums plus drinks parties and dances, the Young Friends aims to provide a social and intellectual introduction to the world of antiques.

Whilst having fun, the Young Friends raises funds for arts-related educational projects. Beneficiaries have included the Cecil Higgins Art Gallery, the Geffrye Museum and the Museum of London.

Young Friends have events organised specifically for them and they are also able to attend other Friends events if they so desire. This of course means that they can apply for free tickets to a myriad of quality antiques fairs.

To be a Young Friend you need to be 35 or under and annual membership costs only £20 or £35 for two people.

Past events have included:

  • Evening reception at the Victoria & Albert Museum
  • Party at the Cobden Club, Notting Hill
  • Dance on a paddle steamer on the Thames
